Marco Bezzecchi delivered another stunning performance to extend his remarkable winning streak at the Red Bull Grand Prix of the United States 2026, leading an Aprilia one-two finish ahead of teammate Jorge Martin at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas.
The victory marks Bezzecchi’s fifth consecutive Grand Prix triumph and his third win in the opening three races of the 2026 MotoGP season—an achievement not seen since Marc Marquez opened the 2014 campaign with three straight wins. The Italian rider also becomes only the third Italian in history to claim five consecutive premier-class victories, joining legends Valentino Rossi and Giacomo Agostini.
The race began with an explosive launch from Pedro Acosta of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing, who grabbed the holeshot from the front row. However, Marco Bezzecchi quickly surged into contention, seizing the lead after a tense early exchange with Acosta at Turn 11.
The pair briefly made contact as their machines brushed fairings exiting the corner, sending a small piece of Bezzecchi’s Aprilia flying off the bike. Despite the scare, the championship leader held firm at the front while Martin slotted into third to maintain a strong presence for Aprilia Racing.
Bezzecchi’s dominance continued as he led lap after lap, eventually surpassing a modern-era record previously held by Jorge Lorenzo for most consecutive Grand Prix laps led. By Lap 4, Bezzecchi had eclipsed Lorenzo’s tally of 103 laps, pushing the new benchmark even further before the race concluded.
Behind him, the battle for the podium intensified. Martin eventually moved past Acosta to secure second place, setting up a powerful Aprilia 1-2 formation at the front of the field.
Further back, Marc Marquez faced a difficult race after serving a Long Lap Penalty for his collision with Fabio Di Giannantonio in the Sprint race. Despite dropping down the order early, the Ducati rider fought his way back to finish fifth after an intense battle with Enea Bastianini and Francesco Bagnaia.
There was also heartbreak for Ai Ogura, who had been charging through the field impressively before a technical issue forced him to retire midway through the race.
At the front, Bezzecchi remained composed under pressure from Martin. Managing the gap perfectly, the Italian crossed the finish line with a comfortable 1.7-second advantage to secure another commanding victory.
Martin completed the historic Aprilia one-two finish, while Acosta held onto third place to secure a valuable podium result after losing his Sprint podium due to a penalty the previous day.
