Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim(TMJ), Owner of Johor Darul Ta’Zim began to speak after Selangor FC was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the Piala Malaysia 2023 after losing 3-1 on aggregate to Terengganu FC yesterday.
TMJ managed to disclose his Instagram page about the real reason for the failure of the Selangor team, which is still without a trophy since under the leadership of the Raja Muda Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah (RMS).
According to TMJ, Selangor FC has wasted a lot of government money every year but there is nothing to be proud of.
“45 million government money every year. 8 years nothing and just a ‘scam’ of the supporters themselves. 8 years of insulting the old management but ‘claiming’ their success.” TMJ said on IG Stories.
“8 years of creating hype and when it fails, people pretend to be victims. 8 years of managing government money ‘scam’ legs. If the head isn’t right, the tail isn’t right either,”
In fact, TMJ also thinks that it is inappropriate for the head coach, Tan Cheng Hoe to be blamed for the decline in the team’s performance because the management itself is the one who chooses the players.
Among the names mentioned by TMJ are SFC Chief Executive Officer, Dr Johan Kamal Hamidon, former SFA vice-president, Izhar Moslim, SFC Chief Operating Officer, Aladdin Mostafa, SFC marketing manager, Faruk Fadzil and SFC Executive Committee Member, Simon Lim.
“The one who makes the decision and buys the player is the management, why do you want to blame the coach? Try to use your brain. It’s even worse when the owner doesn’t know anything about football,”
More surprisingly, TMJ has also revealed an official letter belonging to Selangor FC sent to the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) and the league’s operator, the Malaysia Football League (MFL), regarding the issue of football violence.
According to TMJ, it has something to do with the fight incident that happened at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium last month.
“Recently, the owner of Selangor FC wrote a letter to FAM regarding violence in Malaysian football.”
“But in the letter, only raised the issue of events in Johor, as if telling FAM to take action against JDT and Johor supporters.”
“I also wonder why the owner of Selangor did not write about the CEO himself swearing at the referee, fights in Perak, Terengganu, Penang and Kuala Lumpur,”
