Tan Cheng Hoe, head coach of Selangor FC demanded that his team forget about the last match and focus on the 90 minutes left in the second leg after the match losing to Terengganu FC 0-1 in the Piala Malaysia 2023 Quarter-Final first leg, last night.
“The TFC team played very well and consistently, especially in the first half when we lacked control of the resistance and also failed to make good passes, which reflected the confidence of our team.” TCH said after match
“Our defence tonight (last night) was a little loose, and overall we couldn’t control the match’s tempo because we defended a lot. In defensive football, it’s not easy to stop the opponent rather than score a goal.”
“In the second half, we made three changes and managed to recover, especially in the first and last minutes, so we managed to create the best opportunities to score, including one chance hit by the post. Unfortunately, there was no goal, I was a bit hit.”
“We are therefore forced to work hard for the second match next week, the players must not be tired. They also need to be mentally and physically strong because our mission is to advance to the semi-finals and then to the final like last season,”
