PSM Makassar, a club from Indonesia kept the first point in their home after tying with BG Pathum United, a club from Thailand scoring 0-0 in the ACC Shopee Cup 2024/25 Group Stage, Group A at Batakan Stadium, Balikpapan.
BG Pathum United started strongly, with Freddy Alvarez’s shot being blocked in the 12th minute, resulting in a corner. PSM responded with a low shot from Ananda Raehan, but neither side could break the deadlock.
Despite continued pressure from BGPU, including a close chance from Chaowat Verrachart, who found himself free in PSM’s penalty box but missed the target, both teams struggled to create significant opportunities, and the first half ended 0-0.
In the second half, PSM Makassar upped their intensity, with Latyr Fall’s shot being blocked by BGPU’s goalkeeper, Pisan Dorkmaikeaw. Substitute Ricky Pratama added more threat to the attack, weaving past several defenders but failing to find the net.
The match ended in a stalemate, with neither team managing to score, and the 0-0 draw remained until the final whistle.
