Selangor FC camp has been rocked by a refereeing controversy that raises serious questions. The Red Giants management has stepped forward today to demand an official explanation from the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) regarding several doubtful officiating decisions.
This incident occurred during the Malaysia Cup 2025/26 Quarter Final match against Negeri Sembilan FC on February 14, 2026, which has since sparked heated debate across social media.
In an official statement released by the club, Selangor FC confirmed they have submitted a formal letter to the FAM following an internal post-mortem of the match.
The primary focus of the protest is the referee’s decision to disallow two Selangor FC goals during the match, and the club acknowledged that images of the incidents are currently viral, fueling demands from stakeholders and fans who are calling for transparency.
While the tone of the statement remains professional, the message is clear—Selangor FC wants answers.
“The Club has requested an explanation from FAM regarding several refereeing decisions… specifically the two goals that were disallowed. We trust that FAM views this matter seriously and will review the decisions made,” the official statement read.
The club also urged all parties to refrain from wild speculation while awaiting the review process from the national football governing body.
