Saudi Arabia national team has terminated its contract with Herve Renard, the French head coach after his request for prepares to become the new head coach of France’s women’s team for FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023.
Saudi Arabia’s national team lost 2 matches in International Friendly ‘A’ Match window in March after defeating Venezuela national team and Bolivia national team with a score of 1-2 in all 2 matches.
“The Saudi Arabian Football Federation Board of Directors has agreed on the contract termination of the Head Coach of the Saudi Arabia National team Mr. Herve Renard upon his request.” SAFF said in official statement.
“A legal settlement has been reached to end the contract between the two parties.”
“The President and Board of Directors of SAFF wish for Mr.Renard every success in his future career.”
“I would like to thank everybody in Saudi for their support during almost four years,” Renard told after match defeat to Bolivia national team 1-2 on Tuesday.
“I think I did the maximum with the team. I can’t reach another level so I prefer to be honest with everybody. Thank you again, it was fantastic time.”
Renard, took over the position of head coach of the Saudi Arabia national team in July 2019 and led the team to win over Argentina national team, World cup champions by score of 2-1 in the FIFA World Cup 2022 in December last year.
