Regarding the incident that took place during the last match between Terengganu II FC and Penang FC last night, as diviralised in various mass media, the Management has already instructed the Technical Director and Head Coach to prepare a full report for evaluation purposes, and further to assist the the organizer, FAM or MFL, if there is a need to make further investigations into the incident.

In the event that the Management does not have the opportunity to get a picture from the aspect of security and public order inside and outside the Stadium if the match continues, the Management must make a firm stand when in a situation where there is a tendency to get out of control if the match continues.

Due to concerns over the safety of the players of both teams, especially in avoiding any injuries or harmful situations inside and outside the match, the Management has asked the Penang FC Team to provide an easy route for the host team to win the match as a sign of sportsmanship and for celebrating the prestigious tournament for the state of Terengganu.

In this regard, the Management always supports and welcomes improvement actions from the aspect of safety, and any efforts in improving the weaknesses of the organization by the host team in the future. The Management will always be honored to accept invitations to participate in such tournaments in the future.

In the meantime, the Management also highly celebrates and fully supports FAM’s efforts in improving the quality of the match refereeing system, including friendly matches, in producing more efficient, highly skilled and wise referees, especially in handling various tense situations. under a competent court.

The Management also always reminds the Penang FC players to always be calmer in various situations and always abide by the rules of the match, especially when faced with the situation of a teammate being attacked or injured unintentionally by any opposing player in any match.

Accordingly, Penang FC Management does not intend to prolong this matter and take note of the issue of confusion and aggressive action in a tense situation that has resulted in physical action on some Penang FC players, resulting in facial injuries of one of the Penang FC players.

In this regard, Penang FC noted that the action of Adib Raof who tried to resolve the incident was misunderstood as a form of provocation by the opposing player which caused him to suffer serious injuries to the nose as a result of the physical action. This aggressive action also seems to have caused some Penang FC players to lose control in retaliation for the physical action.

We hope that through the MRI tests that will be carried out on the player, it does not involve injuries that could result in him not being able to play in any important match for a long period of time.

At the same time, the Penang FC players are expected to be more patient and always prioritize personal safety from any injuries arising from unwise actions from any party.

In this regard, the safety aspect outside the stadium in any match is also always taken into account in situations of contagious provocation through social media that can induce any unauthorized individual to take unwise actions that endanger the players and Team officials. Management is always aware of the dangers of cyberbullying and viral over incomplete information can expose players to unnecessary risks.

In this regard, let us all pray and hope that the nasal injury suffered by Adib Raof will not be prolonged through the MRI test that will be conducted today. We also pray that TFC II player Ridzuan Razali also does not suffer serious injuries as a result of the incident.

To the supporters of Penang FC, thank you for all the solid support given and the Management apologizes for the difficult decision that had to be made last night for the safety of all Penang FC and Terengganu II players.

To the host team, congratulations on the championship won and thank you to Terengganu FC as the organizers who have made this tournament a success. The Management also apologizes for any errors that occurred during the period the Penang FC team participated in this prestigious competition.
