Rakpol Sainetngam, head coach of Malaysia Futsal National Team has voiced his hopes for a strong performance that will propel Malaysia to the finals in the ASEAN Futsal Championship 2024,
At the pre-tournament press conference, Coach Rakpol expressed confidence despite the formidable challenge posed by the group stage draw.
“We have about three weeks to prepare the team for this tournament, and we’re focused on reaching the finals. Our preparations have been thorough, and we’re aiming to go deep into the competition,” shared the Thai coach.
Drawn into Group A, Malaysia will face tough competition from regional heavyweights Thailand and Vietnam. Despite the challenge, Coach Rakpol remains optimistic. “We are in a strong group, but we’ll give it our all. Our goal is to make it to the finals,” he stated.
Malaysia will open their campaign against Brunei on November 3 at 3:30 PM local time.
