Selangor FC strikes back 3 goals to pass to the semi-final after beating Negeri Sembilan FC with a score of 3-1 in the Piala FA Malaysia 2023 quarter-final at Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium, Paroi.
Negeri Sembilan was first in front through Mohamad Safuwan Baharuddin’s deserved net which killed the goalkeeper, Mohd Khairulazhan Mohd Khalid in the first minute of the game.
That position, however, did not last long when Selangor equalized through Mukhairi Ajmal Mahadi in the third minute.
The Red Giants squad was then seen dominating the game by playing short passes and occasionally making attempts at Negeri Sembilan goals.
Tan Cheng Hoe’s men managed to take advantage of the mistakes of the host’s defense when they scored a second goal through Yuhandry Orozco Cujia in the 60th minute.
Orozco Cujia then secured a semi-final slot for the Red Giants when he scored the third goal in the 87th minute.
