Malaysian MMA star Jihin Radzuan suffered a tough defeat in her return to the stage, falling to Spain’s Macarena Aragon by unanimous decision in the MMA Atomweight bout at ONE Fight Night 30 held at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium, Bangkok.
This was Jihin’s first bout back after missing out on ONE Fight Night 25 due to failing the hydration test. Eager to make a statement, the 25-year-old returned with renewed determination—but it was Aragon who stole the spotlight.
In a twist of irony, Aragon herself failed to meet the hydration and weight requirements ahead of this bout. Despite the setback, she successfully negotiated to proceed with the fight, adding a layer of tension and controversy heading into the showdown.
Once the action got underway, it was Aragon who asserted control throughout all three rounds. Displaying relentless pressure and well-calculated striking, the Spaniard managed to dictate the pace and tempo, consistently keeping Jihin on the back foot.
Jihin, known for her grappling skills and tenacity, struggled to find her rhythm as Aragon’s sharp combinations and aggressive forward movement kept her defensive for much of the contest.
By the end of the final round, the judges were unanimous in their verdict—Macarena Aragon had done enough to earn a clear decision victory over the Malaysian standout.
While the loss is a setback for Jihin, it’s not the end of the road. The Johor-born fighter remains one of the most promising talents in the Atomweight division and will no doubt be looking to regroup and bounce back stronger in her next outing.
