Malaysian women’s singles player, Goh Jin Wei, came close to winning but ultimately lost to Kim Ga-Eun from Korea Republic in the women’s singles event of badminton at the Olympics 2024, held at Porte de La Chapelle Arena, Paris.
Jin Wei lost the first set 17-21 but fought back to win the second set 22-20. In the third set, she nearly secured the victory, holding two match points, but was narrowly defeated 21-23 in a 65-minute match.
With this result, Jin Wei finished in 2nd place in Group H and did not qualify for the knockout round.
