Moriero Francesco, head coach of Maldives national team has noticed to Maldives players to be careful with the ‘new face’ of the Malaysia national team squad who came up with a different set of players.
“Malaysia is a good team but the Maldives is also a good team. The mentality of the players is also in a positive state.” Moriero said in press conference.
“But the result of the match is not important because what is more important is that my players get experience playing on the international stage,”
“We can see Malaysia play faster tactically and with a very high intensity compared to the last meeting before.
“So this match will be a tough action for us but we will try to give the best competition,”
For the record, Maldives faced Malaysia four times, but Maldives lost all four matches with the last match in 2018 ending in a 3-0 defeat.
