Malaysian Football League (MFL) has officially unveiled the PUMA Orbita MFL 1, the official match ball for the 2025/26 Malaysian League season, marking the fourth consecutive year of collaboration with global sports brand PUMA and its local partner, ACTIVE SPORTS.

This launch not only continues a successful partnership but also reaffirms MFL’s commitment to enhancing playing standards across Malaysian football, aligning with elite global leagues.

PUMA, through Active Sports, continues as the official match ball sponsor, supplying all Malaysian League competitions — including the Super League, FA Cup, MFL Challenge Cup, and the prestigious Malaysia Cup — with its top-tier football technology.

Originally introduced in 2022 with the PUMA MFL Accelerate 21.1 Pro, the Orbita MFL 1 has since evolved into a staple of Malaysian football excellence. The latest model will be used across all fixtures for the 2025–26 season.

“After three seasons, we’ve seen how the PUMA Orbita MFL 1 has helped players shine with high-level performances. We’re proud that a global brand like PUMA continues to trust the Malaysian League,” said MFL President Dato’ Ab Ghani Hassan.

“This partnership not only boosts player performance but raises the league’s profile internationally — placing us alongside competitions like the EPL, La Liga, Serie A, and AFCON.”

The PUMA Orbita MFL 1 features a cutting-edge 12-panel design, high-frequency molded structure for superior shape retention, and a 1.2mm textured PU surface that enhances aerodynamics and durability. Additional highlights include:

  • 3D surface texture for improved grip and flight stability.
  • Rubber bladder with PAL (PUMA Air Lock) valve for excellent air retention and rebound.
  • FIFA Quality Pro certification, meeting global elite match ball standards.
  • Water-resistant construction, ensuring consistent performance across all weather conditions.
  • Exclusive PUMA-MFL co-branding to commemorate the partnership.

The ball, priced at RM579, is now available exclusively at ACTIVE SPORTS outlets and select PUMA stores across Malaysia.

During the launch ceremony, Mr. Murugeson Sithambaram, Owner of Active Sports Centre, handed over the first official Orbita MFL 1 to Dato’ Ab Ghani Hassan in a symbolic gesture to kick off the new season.

“We are grateful for MFL’s continued trust. Our goal is simple — provide a match ball that delivers world-class quality and consistency. We believe this new edition will support exciting football across the country,” said Murugeson.

The ceremony was attended by top football administrators, including Deputy FAM President Datuk Wira Yusoff Mahadi, MFL Directors Datuk Mohamed Suffian Awang, Mustaza Ahmad, Dato’ Zainal Abidin Hassan, and Acting MFL CEO Mohd Shazli Shaik Mohd.

PUMA’s reputation as a match ball supplier spans major international tournaments such as the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), CONMEBOL Libertadores, Copa America, and top leagues across Europe and South America.

With the PUMA Orbita MFL 1, Malaysian football continues to benefit from this elite-level innovation, reinforcing its commitment to global standards and delivering an elevated football experience for players and fans alike.
