Mario Riveira, head coach of Brunei DS national team believes Thailand national team, their opponents have a lot of quality players who are capable of giving his team a great fight in the AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2022 Group A first match tomorrow.
“The best preparation we can do is give as much as we can in tomorrow’s match,” Mario said in a Pre-match press conference.
“All the players are excited to play in this tournament after not having a league for three years, their hard work is finally paying off,”
“I think Thailand has a lot of great players, they are able to change all the players.
We can’t focus on some players only it will cause difficulties for the team.”
In addition, Hendra Azam team captain’s shared his excitement that he and his teammates were going to be the first time after almost 30 years that they failed to qualify for this prestigious Southeast Asian tournament.
“We are all excited about this opportunity.”
“All the players are ready for tomorrow’s match because we want to prove that we are also worthy of playing in this tournament.”
However, Mario refused to comment further on the absence of Faiq Bolkiah, a Bruneian striker from Chonburi FC who is not listed in this tournament.
“We are here to talk about tomorrow’s game so we will only talk about the players who are here.”
AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2022 Group stage, group A first match between Brunei DS national team VS Thailand national team will compete on 20 December 2022 at 8.30 pm (Malaysian time) at the KLFA Stadium, Kuala Lumpur live on Astro Arena 2(Astro Box channel 802).
