Malaysia national team, is set to friendly match with Myanmar and Hong Kong in two matches of International ‘A’ Match FIFA Day for ahead of the AFC Asian Cup 2023 Qualifiers 3rd round on 8-14 June 2022.
We are scheduled to play Myanmar on 27 May 2022 and followed by Hong Kong on 1 June 2022. Both matches will play at Bukit Jalil National Stadium, Kuala Lumpur.
The two teams are seen as suitable opponents for Malaysia’s ahead of the encounters against Turkmenistan on 8 June, Bahrain on 11 June and Bangladesh on 14 June, which all 3 matches will be play at Bukit Jalil National Stadium, Kuala Lumpur.
Myanmar, ranked at 152, will be in Kuala Lumpur for a centralised training camp before they depart to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan for their Group F fixtures with Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Myanmar and Singapore.
Hong Kong, ranked at 147, will be in Kuala Lumpur before flying off to Kolkata, India for their Group D fixtures with India, Hong Kong, Afghanistan and Cambodia.
Malaysia, will commence centralised training camp on 19 May 2022, after the end of Liga Super Malaysia 2022 Matchday 9 on 18 May.
The three-week centralised training, which includes the two Tier 1 international friendlies, is aimed at giving the coaching staff the opportunity and space to further improve the level of play, cohesion, compatibility and combination of the players before taking on Turkmenistan, Bahrain and Bangladesh.
