Malaysia U19 national team tied Cambodia U19 national team scoring 2-2 in the friendly match at UiTM Stadium, Shah Alam.
This friendly match is playing behind closed door and this match is the part of preparation before ASEAN U19 Boys Championship 2024.
Cambodia took the lead early on when Lim Lucca Thong converted a penalty in the seventh minute. The Malaysian team, launching continuous attacks, equalized through Muhamad Ridzwan in the 37th minute. However, Cambodia regained the lead just three minutes later with a goal from Phoeuk Thatthai.
In the second half, Malaysia was awarded a penalty, which Haykal Danish successfully converted in the 63rd minute, leveling the score at 2-2. The match ended in a draw, with both teams gaining valuable experience ahead of the upcoming championship.
