Malaysia national team announced the squad of 29 players to participate in a centralized training camp for the AFC Asian Cup 2023 qualifiers 3rd round group E. during 8-14 June 2022 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The following name list below are the names of 29 players that have been called up by the National Team Head Coach, Kim Pan Gon to join the centralized training camp beginning Thursday, 19 May 2022 for the International Match Tier 1 against Brunei on 27 May 2022 and Hong Kong on 1 June 2022, as well as the three Group E, Final Round Asian Cup Qualifiers 2023 matches against Turkmenistan (8 June 2022), Bahrain (11 June 2022) and Bangladesh (14 June 2022), all match, will be played in the Bukit Jalil National Stadium, Kuala Lumpur.

Based on the abovementioned list, Pan Gon has maintained 20 from the 25 players list that was brought to Singapore for the FAS Tri-Nations Series 2022 two matches against Phillipines and Singapore last March with three players – Aidil Zafuan Abd Radzak, Ramadhan Saifullah Usman and Zhafri Yahya in the Standby List while two other players – Luqman Hakim Shamsudin and Quentin Cheng is currently with the U-23 National Team for the SEA Games 2021 in Vietnam.
Nine new players that were also called up are Matthew Davies, Afiq Fazail, Ahmad Syihan Hazmi Mohamed, Junior Eldstal, Norshahrul Idlan Talaha and Guilherme de Paula, including Syahmi Safari and Darren Lok that were unable to join the centralized training camp last March and also Nazmi Faiz Mansor.
From the 40 players name list above, (29 players called up and 11 players in Reserve List), only 23 players will be registered in the final registration list for the Final Round Asian Cup Qualifiers 2023 while 17 other players will still have to be ready to be called should there be any changes to the final list.
