Sony Norde, a striker Haitian moved to join Terengganu FC in Liga Super Malaysia 2023 after leaving from Melaka United at end of last season.
The player from Haiti admitted that the journey of the 2022 season with Melaka United was really challenging and now it is time for him to get back up and help Terengganu achieve better results than this season. And he believes his choice to be with Tomislav Steinbruckner’s squad is the right one after evaluating other clubs who are also offering his services next season.
“Yes, everyone knows what happened in Melaka and as a football player, it is certain that I always have the feeling to play, so now is the time to continue walking forward.” Norde said.
“I am ready to be with my new family in Terengganu and also a new challenge with this team.”
“Honestly, I got offers from more than 7 clubs and I had discussions with those 7 teams, so we looked at all angles before finally choosing Terengganu.”
“Apart from wanting to play in the AFC Cup, Terengganu also has many good local players so I think this team is the best choice for me,”
However, the 33-year-old player believes that the presence of a new coach will still produce extraordinary achievements for Terengganu along with the hard work of the whole team after this.
“I just met the coach (Steinbruckner) for the first time when I signed the contract and what can I say, he has a very likable character and I believe we will all be able to give our best”, he added.
Sony Norde move to join with Melaka United since season 2020 and played 45 matches all the time and 7 goal scores
