Selangor FC earned 3 points and make a confidence before starting in Asian stage after beating Kuching City scoring 4-0 in the Liga Super Malaysia 2024/25 at MBPJ Stadium, Petaling Jaya.
Selangor’s new Jordanian import, Ali Olwan, made a strong debut by playing a key role in the Red Giants’ first goal, which came in the 11th minute. His pass led to a defensive error, resulting in a goal credited to Ronnie Fernandez. Olwan then scored Selangor’s second goal in the 67th minute, finishing a pass from Fernandez. Although Olwan was sent off seven minutes later, his impact was already decisive.
Uzbekistan’s Umar Eshmurodov added the third goal with a header from Yohandry Orozco’s corner in the 75th minute, while Alvin Fortes sealed the win with a goal from Noor Al-Rawabdeh’s pass.
Selangor, currently second in the league, now have 22 points from 10 games, trailing Johor Darul Ta’zim by three points. This victory also maintained Selangor’s perfect home record this season under coach Nidzam Jamil.
