Perak FC win first match in era of head coach Yusri Che Lah after beated Kuching City with a score of 2-1 in the Liga Super Malaysia 2023 at Stadium Negeri, Kuching.
The game was rather smart presented by both teams where they planned each other’s moves with KCFC first testing as early as the ninth minute through Pedro Henrique’s stray attempt.
However, the opening goal went to Perak FC in the 12th minute after Shafizi Iqmal Md Khirudin’s header was headed by Luciano Guaycochea and the header hit the post before it went into the Kuching net.
The position was back in balance in the 31st minute after KCFC striker, Abu Kamara, received the ball from T Shaheeswaran’s gag, who previously managed to keep away Yuki Tanigawa’s attempt.
The winning network that both teams were chasing belonged to Perak FC after Seo Seonung’s attempt from outside the penalty box killed Shaiful Wazizi Mohammad in the 80th minute.
The visitor had the chance to win with the third goal, but unfortunately, Seonung’s delivery failed to catch Luka Milunovic’s box in front of the KCFC goal two minutes later.
