PDRM FC win 2 matches consecutive after opening home beating Sabah FC with a score of 1-0 in the Liga Super Malaysia 2023 at MBPJ Stadium, Petaling Jaya.
For this action too, in the defense of Sabah FC, Rizal Ghazali was neither in the main team nor on the bench.
Sabah FC controlled most of the game and the best chance came in the 10th minute but Baddrol Bakhtiar’s header was caught by Ramadhan Hamid.
The visitors also wasted the opportunity to chase the opening goal when Park Tae Soo’s free kick ‘stuck’ in the defense of PDRM FC.
PDRM FC clearly let Sabah FC ‘dance’ with the ball and with only one pass through, PDRM FC tore Sabah FC’s goal from Mohamad Nabil Ahmad Latpi’s net in the 25th minute.
Sabah FC rallied after going behind but they didn’t have the answers to overcome PDRM’s defensive discipline and a 1-0 draw to end the first half.
Sabah FC once again created a good chance to get an equalizer in the 50th minute through a move off the left wing but Baddrol’s handsome volley on Jailton da Silva’s cross flew high.
Two minutes later, it was PDRM FC’s turn to waste an opportunity to widen the gap when Jacque Faye’s feat received the same ‘fate’ as Baddrol’s handsome.
Sabah FC kept on pushing until the end of the game but failed to get the equalizing goal which was needed while forcing them to white their eyes on the away field.
This defeat saw Sabah FC maintain a terrible record on the road having won only once in seven matches so far.
