Negeri Sembilan FC made the first victory in this season after beating Sri Pahang FC scoring 2-0 in the Liga Super Malaysia 2024/25 at Stadium MPT, Temerloh.
The match saw an energetic start from Negeri Sembilan, with an early opportunity in the fourth minute when imported striker Junco Martinez took a shot that went straight to the home goalkeeper, Zarif Irfan.
Sri Pahang also had a chance to score, but imported defender Aleksandar Cvetkovic’s curling shot hit the post.
The breakthrough came in the 24th minute when Barathkumar scored for Negeri Sembilan, beating Zarif Irfan.
In the second half, the hosts intensified their efforts to find an equalizer, but Negeri Sembilan’s defense remained solid.
In stoppage time, Negeri Sembilan were awarded a penalty, which Sasaki converted to secure the three points for his team.
