The visitors, Penang FC, shocked the hosts early by scoring in just the second minute. A beautifully placed cross from Dylan Wenzel Halls found Adib Raop in the penalty area, and the international player finished smoothly past Azri Ab Ghani to give Penang the lead.

However, KL City wasted no time responding. Just five minutes later, captain Paulo Josue expertly controlled Kenny Pallraj’s pass and slotted the ball into the open net to level the score at 1-1. The home team then took control of the match, with Jovan Motika finding the net in the 21st minute after a perfect cross from Josue, putting KL City ahead 2-1.

In the second half, KL City maintained their dominance. Haqimi Azim Rosli extended the lead to 3-1 in the 53rd minute, again benefiting from a precise pass from Josue. Haqimi added his second goal of the match in the 74th minute, making it 4-1 and giving KL City a comfortable cushion.

Penang FC managed to reduce the deficit with a header from Rodrigo Dias in the 81st minute, but it was too late to mount a comeback, and the match ended 4-2 in favor of KL City.

The win boosted KL City’s standings, moving them to eighth place with 11 points, while Penang FC sits in 10th, also with 11 points but trailing due to goal difference.

KL City will next face Kelantan Darul Naim FC away, while Penang FC will host Sri Pahang FC.
