Kuala Lumpur City clinched 3 points after beating Kedah Darul Aman scoring 5-0 in the Liga Super Malaysia 2024/25 at KLFA Stadium, Cheras.
Kedah Darul Aman managed by Nafuzi Zain only risked the ‘B’ squad after several key players decided to ‘boycott’ the training session last month due to a salary conflict.
The home side wasted no time, with Jovan Motika scoring in the 14th minute from a pass by Zhafri Yahya. This early goal energized the team, as Hazrie Balqief Zulhadi doubled the score in the 23rd minute. Just two minutes later, Zhafri himself added a third goal through a free-kick.
In the second half, Paulo Josue made history by becoming KL City’s all-time leading scorer, netting two more goals in the 49th and 59th minutes to seal the game 5-0.
