Kuala Lumpur City earned 3 points in away match after beating Kedah Darul Aman scoring 3-2 in the Liga Super Malaysia 2024/25 at Darul Aman Stadium, Alor Setar.
Despite being at a numerical disadvantage, the home side, struggled against a more experienced KL City squad, bolstered by its imported players.
Kedah took the lead in the 25th minute when Milos Gordic curled a stunning strike past Hafizul Hakim after receiving a brilliant pass from Evenezer Assifuah.
However, KL City pressed for an equalizer and finally found their breakthrough in first-half stoppage time. Captain Paulo Josué rose to the occasion, expertly heading in Kamal Azizi’s delivery to level the score.
Josué struck again in the 62nd minute, putting KL City ahead with a powerful shot from outside the penalty area.
Kedah, refusing to back down, responded just three minutes later when substitute Fadzrul Danel unleashed a long-range effort to restore parity.
But it was another substitute who sealed the win for KL City—Giannelli found the net in the 86th minute, beating Ifwat Akmal to secure a dramatic victory for the visitors.
