A dominant attacking performance saw Kedah FA secure a convincing 4–1 victory over Kedah Darul Aman FC in the Liga A1 Semi-Pro 2025/26 at Stadium Mini MPKP, Jitra.
The away side wasted little time stamping their authority on the match. Nnabuke Chukwu opened the scoring in the 18th minute, giving Kedah FA an early advantage after capitalizing on a defensive lapse.
The pressure from the visitors continued to mount, and just six minutes later the lead doubled in dramatic fashion. In the 24th minute, a miscommunication in defense resulted in Eirwan OG (own goal), handing Kedah FA a comfortable 2–0 lead.
With momentum firmly on their side, Kedah FA extended their advantage again in the 33rd minute through Afeeq Iqmal, who finished a well-constructed attacking move to make it 3–0 before halftime.
Kedah Darul Aman attempted to mount a response in the second half and eventually found a breakthrough. Faris managed to pull one back for the hosts in the 76th minute, briefly lifting the home crowd with hopes of a late comeback.
However, Kedah FA had already sealed the result earlier when Barathkumar added the fourth goal in the 72nd minute, ensuring the visitors maintained full control of the contest.
The emphatic 4–1 victory strengthens Kedah FA’s position as they continue their campaign in the Liga A1 Semi-Pro, while Kedah Darul Aman will need to regroup and address defensive issues ahead of their upcoming fixtures.
