Kuala Lumpur City, a club in Liga Super Malaysia, has issued official statement confirming now the club started pre-season training after has resolved about salaries arrears of players and staff.
KL City in fact explained that this matter took into account the club’s previous announcement to the Malaysian Football League (MFL) that pre-season would only begin after official confirmation regarding the full payment of arrears and complying with the deadline set by the MFL governing body.
“This accountability step was taken to ensure that the club is ready to face the challenges of the new season on the right foot and at the same time maintain stability, competitiveness and financial strength.” club said.
“The club management would also like to express its highest thanks to the Chairman of Kuala Lumpur City FC, Fahmi Fadzil; Minister for Regional Affairs, Dr Zaliha Mustafa and Datuk Bandar Kuala Lumpur, Datuk Sr Kamarulzaman Mat Salleh for their support and concern for the preservation and continued progress of Kuala Lumpur City Football Club,”
Meanwhile, KL City also announced the appointment of Miroslav Kuljanac, assistant head coach to be a the new head coach replace Nenad Bacina.
