Negeri Sembilan FC has announced the appointment of K. Nanthakumar as the new head coach, replacing Azzmi Ab Aziz, who has been promoted to the role of technical director.
This decision comes after a disappointing start to the Liga Super Malaysia 2024/25 season, with the team currently sitting in 12th place with just 3 points from 7 matches.
In an official statement, Negeri Sembilan FC explained that the restructuring is part of a broader effort to address the club’s performance and ensure competitiveness in the Super League. The statement emphasized the importance of the changes, acknowledging the challenges ahead but expressing confidence that the restructuring is crucial for the club’s success.
K. Nanthakumar, previously the assistant head coach, will now lead the team as head coach. He will be supported by new assistant head coach Efendi Abdul Malek and K. Rajan, with Megat Amir Faisal returning as the goalkeeper coach.
The club also reiterated its commitment to long-term planning, focusing on development and achieving future objectives. Negeri Sembilan FC expressed gratitude for the continued support and loyalty of its fans, urging them to stand by the team during this crucial phase of rebuilding.
