The Johor State Government has officially entered the ring to shut down “shallow and misleading” rumors circulating on social media regarding the ownership of the iconic Sultan Ibrahim Stadium (SSI).
Following a viral post on X (formerly Twitter) by an individual claiming SSI isn’t actually JDT’s property, Johor’s Youth and Sports EXCO, YB Mohd Hairi bin Mad Shah, has released a blistering disclaimer to set the record straight once and for all.
YB Mohd Hairi didn’t mince words, confirming that the state-of-the-art stadium is the absolute property of Johor Darul Ta’zim, held under the patronage and consent of HRH the Regent of Johor (TMJ).
“The statement made is shallow and lacks facts,” YB Mohd Hairi stated. “SSI is JDT’s property. Its construction was part of HRH the Regent of Johor’s strategic vision to create a world-class sports ecosystem right here in Johor.”
To those confused by the involvement of the Johor State Stadium Corporation (PSNJ), the EXCO clarified that this is a “best practice” move seen in top-tier European clubs.
This professional separation allows the team to focus on dominating the pitch while the experts ensure the grass is perfectly manicured for those massive ACLE nights!
The State Government is sending a clear message to social media “keyboard warriors”: Fact-check or stay quiet. YB Mohd Hairi urged influencers to stop spreading speculative rumors that tarnish the reputation of Johor’s sporting institutions.
