The Southern Tigers are crossing borders and taking on the world! In a historic announcement for Malaysian motorsport, Johor Motorsport Racing (JMR) is set to make its mark at the legendary 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Partnering with endurance giants TF Sport, JMR will be at the heart of a massive four-car assault, specifically spearheading the charge in the #2 Corvette Z06 GT3.R. This isn’t just a guest appearance—it’s a high-stakes collaboration that puts Malaysian talent on the grid of the world’s most prestigious race.
JMR isn’t just bringing their branding to France; they are bringing their elite driver roster. Leading the cockpit of the mighty #2 Corvette are:
- Prince Jefri Ibrahim (Bronze): Bringing his vast GT3 experience and the royal “Triple Nine” spirit to the Circuit de la Sarthe.
- Afiq Ikhwan (Silver): One of Malaysia’s fastest sons, ready to prove his mettle against the best international silver-rated drivers.
- Ben Green (Gold): The experienced Pro who will help the JMR duo unlock the full potential of the Z06 GT3.R.
The #2 entry is a direct result of TF Sport’s dominance in the 2025 European Le Mans Series. Rather than just fielding a standard entry, TF Sport has invited key members of the Johor Motorsport Racing crew to join their experienced French classic team. This “East-meets-West” technical partnership aims to combine JMR’s recent GT dominance with TF Sport’s legendary Le Mans pedigree.
While the #2 Corvette is the “JMR Special,” it forms part of a wider powerhouse effort from TF Sport:
- #33 & #34 Corvettes: The full-season WEC entries hunting for LMGT3 glory.
- #14 AO by TF (LMP2): The defending Pro/Am class winners looking for a hat-trick of podiums.
