Irfan Fandi, defender Singaporean of BG Pathum United has withdrawn from the Singapore National Team, citing personal reasons with regard to club commitments.
After, Irfan’s withdrawal means he will not play any part in the team’s 2 International friendly matches against Hong Kong on 23 March, and Macau on 26 March.
“I have complete faith in the squad that I’ve selected, hence I will not be calling for any replacement. This is an opportunity for the other players to step up and stake their claim. Our full focus will be on the players that are with us as we look forward to the two matches this week.” Takayuki Nishigaya, head coach of Singapore national team said.
