The Indonesian national team delivered a commanding performance to secure their place in the FIFA Series 2026 final, defeating Saint Kitts and Nevis 4-0 in the semi-final at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, Jakarta.
From the opening whistle, Indonesia asserted control, deploying a flexible system that shifted from 4-4-2 in defense to an attacking 3-5-2 shape.
The breakthrough came in the 15th minute when Beckham Putra timed his run perfectly to beat the offside trap and finish with composure. Just ten minutes later, he doubled the lead—once again capitalising on excellent service from Ole Romeny—to give Indonesia a comfortable 2-0 advantage heading into halftime.
Despite continued attacking intent, Indonesia were unable to add to their tally before the break, though their dominance was never in doubt.
Indonesia picked up where they left off in the second half, maintaining pressure and dictating the tempo. Beckham continued to threaten, testing the opposition goalkeeper with a powerful long-range effort.
The third goal arrived in the 53rd minute, with Ole Romeny getting on the scoresheet after a well-worked set-piece situation.
While Saint Kitts and Nevis attempted to respond, Indonesia’s defense marshalled effectively in front of goalkeeper Maarten Paes—remained solid, even surviving a brief scare following a near own goal from Rizky Ridho.
Head coach John Herdman later rotated his squad, introducing fresh legs, including Ivar Jenner and Sandy Walsh, to maintain intensity.
Indonesia eventually added a fourth through Mauro Zijlstra, putting the result beyond doubt and capping off a near-perfect evening.
With the win, Indonesia now advance to face Bulgaria in the final on March 30 at the same venue. Meanwhile, Saint Kitts and Nevis will take on Solomon Islands in the third-place match.
