Bandar Seri Begawan – DPMM FC have confirmed that Bruneian winger Faiq Bolkiah will join the club for the second leg of the 2025/26 Liga Super Malaysia season, marking the homecoming of one of the nation’s most recognizable footballers.
The 27-year-old departs Ratchaburi FC in the Thai League after two seasons, where he registered 16 appearances and two goals. Faiq previously enjoyed a spell at Chonburi FC, making 19 starts during the 2022/23 season before moving to Ratchaburi.
In their official statement, DPMM FC highlighted the significance of the signing and the club’s broader plans moving forward:
“Hakeme Yazid will be joining DPMM FC as soon as his national service ends in early October. Hakeme is one of the jewels of the team, and we have missed him greatly. Faiq Bolkiah will be released from Ratchaburi FC in the Thai top tier. However, Faiq will only be eligible to complete his transfer in January during the next open window.”
Faiq’s arrival will give DPMM FC a major boost as they look to strengthen their attack in the second half of the campaign. The winger, who once made headlines as one of the highest-profile Southeast Asian players abroad, is expected to bring both experience and creativity to the squad.
