Fahmi Fadzil, Minister of Communications and Digital(KKMM) has been appointed as the patron of Kuala Lumpur City after receiving an offer from Khalid Abdul Samad, President of Kuala Lumpur Football Association (KLFA).
Meanwhile, Khalid said that Fahmi, who was met in Parliament today, however placed conditions before making a decision to accept the invitation.
“I have received confirmation from Fahmi to be the sponsor of the KL City team, on the condition that KL City cannot get sponsorship from any telecommunications company, which is currently under his ministry,” Fahmi said in a press conference at KLFA Stadium, Cheras today.
“This is because he does not want to be indebted to the company for contributing or helping KL City… so what we need is someone respected and respected as a patron and we will try to get other sponsorships,”
Fahmi, is a member of the Pakatan Harapan party(PH) and a Member of Lembah Pantai(P121) in the 15th Dewan Rakyat before has appointed to be a Minister of Communications and Digital(KKMM) in 23rd cabinet of Anwar Ibrahim, current Prime minister of Malaysia
