Europe’s football giants are back in full swing after the summer break, hitting the ground running in preparation for the new season. As part of their pre-season campaigns, Arsenal FC, Newcastle United, and AC Milan are set to ignite excitement at the 2025 Singapore Festival of Football (SFOF) with two headline clashes at the iconic National Stadium.
Returning after a two-year hiatus, this year’s SFOF promises top-tier action with Arsenal facing Italian powerhouse AC Milan on 23 July, followed by a much-anticipated Premier League battle against Newcastle United on 27 July. Both matches kick off at 7:30 PM (SGT) and serve as crucial tune-ups ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Fans will also enjoy a rare glimpse behind the scenes, with Arsenal’s Open Training Session scheduled on 25 July, allowing supporters to witness their heroes up close. Tickets for the matches start from $108, while general admission for the Open Training is available at $32, exclusively on Ticketek Singapore.
Adding to the allure, club legends including Gilberto Silva and Bacary Sagna (Arsenal), Shay Given and Shola Ameobi (Newcastle), and Serginho and Alexandre Pato (AC Milan) will be present throughout the festival. They’ll participate in meet-and-greets, football clinics, and charitable activities such as food drives—strengthening community ties and delighting fans across the region.
The Gunners will also host a Football Development Programme, inviting budding talents from Singapore, Hong Kong, and China to train under elite guidance. Running across four days, the clinic will host 60–90 participants daily and include appearances from club legends, plus access to Arsenal’s Open Training and match versus AC Milan.
Meanwhile, AC Milan fans are in for a historic moment as the Rossoneri make their first-ever appearance in Singapore. A special PUMA fan event on 22 July at 313@Somerset offers supporters the chance to meet Milan players and engage in exclusive experiences.
The highly anticipated Arsenal vs AC Milan clash on 23 July will mark the inaugural Tridentity Cup, presented by Trident Digital Tech Holdings Ltd. (NASDAQ: TDTH). Trident’s Founder and CEO, Mr. Lim Soon Huat, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership:
“We are proud to present the Tridentity Cup and serve as the Premier and Digital Technology Partner of SFOF. Our mission to provide secure, seamless digital identity solutions aligns with the unifying power of football. This event is a celebration of passion, community, and innovation.”
Fans can look forward to both Arsenal and AC Milan debuting their 2025/26 Away kits during the Tridentity Cup match. Milan’s newly revealed kit blends heritage and innovation, with a sleek white base accented by red and black detailing, and features the iconic “Diavoletto” symbol—paying tribute to the club’s rich legacy.
AC Milan supporters can elevate their festival experience by purchasing exclusive hospitality packages, offering private meals with legends, behind-the-scenes access, and unforgettable moments with the squad.
For the first time in nearly three decades, Newcastle United return to Singapore fresh off their Carabao Cup triumph. Ahead of their 27 July clash, the Magpies will participate in a food drive with Pertapis and host a retail event at Weston Corp (313@Somerset) from 8–10 PM on 26 July. Fans can meet Given and Ameobi, pose with the Carabao Cup, and celebrate their club’s success.
On match day, the pair will also appear at the Fan Zone (5–6 PM) at Stadium Riverside Walk, which will feature merchandise booths, a futsal court, and immersive football experiences for all ages.
TEG Asia Managing Director, Timothy Ho, emphasized the growing scale and excitement of the festival:
“We’re thrilled to welcome Trident as presenting sponsor of the Tridentity Cup. Football brings people together, and fans in Singapore and beyond will have numerous opportunities to connect with their favourite clubs. With two world-class matches and a bustling Fan Zone, the 2025 Festival of Football is shaping up to be an unforgettable celebration of the beautiful game.”
The SFOF’s revival follows the five-year partnership between TEG Sport and the Singapore Tourism Board, ensuring the return of elite European football every two years through 2029. With global icons like Arsenal, Newcastle, and AC Milan converging in Singapore, fans can expect thrilling action, intimate fan experiences, and a vibrant football carnival atmosphere.
