Esteban Solari, head coach of Johor Darul Ta’Zim wants to apply a ‘grow mentality’ to his players who are currently in Dubai for pre-season training ahead of the Liga Super Malaysia 2023 as a beginning in February.
JDT will play a friendly match face 4 Europe teams in pre-season at Dubai with FC Rostov on 25 January, Levski Sofia on 31 January, Lokomotiv Moscow on 2 February, Zenit St.Petersburg on 6 February. and another club from the UAE League on 28 January (Will also be their opponents will be announced later).
Solari said this when his coaching team will face four European clubs in the pre-season tour in Dubai and he wants to use this opportunity as a field to strengthen the players and the team.
“Everyone is aware that JDT is a club with high standards. Every time we want to improve our performance and this is the reason why we are here (Dubai). We want to meet a team that has a good line-up and they are currently in the best position in the Russian League.” Esteban said.
“This is a form of learning for us and will help the team to grow. Now that I’m here, I want to apply a ‘grow mentality’ which means players have to learn from every game. They also have to work hard to achieve high endurance because that is important for soccer players,”
