Esteban Solari, head coach of Johor Darul Ta’Zim mentions to Safawi Rasid, a midfielder of the team that he wants ‘New Safawi’ who can play provide different positions.
Safawi, just back to Johor Darul Ta’Zim in the second leg of Liga Super Malaysia 2023 after the end of a loan contract with Ratchaburi FC in Thai League 1. and played for JDT again in a match against Negeri Sembilan FC last Saturday night.
“We thought about him before the game we think it’s a player that coming back to shape. He needs to have that he’s already taken it but sometimes you need a game to take the full confidence to start feeling with your teammates and with the atmosphere.” Esteban said in post-match press conference.
“And he knows what I want from him. I told him I don’t want Safawi from before. I want a ‘New Safawi’ player who can provide different positions, maybe the left maybe the right, and maybe the striker and I think it is step-by-step.”
“I only want him to get to know you have the opportunity he has to use it. Is I want from him because I understand it it’s the club doesn’t keep too much an opportunity.”
“That he plays in the Rose when you get 10 minutes 20 minutes you have to be able in the pitch.”
