Akram Mahinan, and Declan Lambert will not participate in Malaysia national team’s centralized training camp today after both players requested to be released due to personal reasons.
FAM was officially informed by Kuala Lumpur City FC, which stated that both of the players will not be able to join the Malaysia squad’s preparation ahead of their AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2022.
With Akram and Declan’s absence, Malaysia squad will continue the centralized training camp with the remaining 28 players including one player from the standby list, Fazly Mazlan, Selangor FC’s left back.
A total of 17 players have reported today, while the remaining 11 players will gradually join the team, seven of which are Selangor FC players and two Johor Darul Ta’zim players on 5 December 2022; Terengganu FC goalkeeper, Rahadiazli Rahalim on 6 December 2022 after he completes the U23 national team centralized training camp and FK Jablonec player, Dion Cools on 16 December 2022.
