Laos U19 national team advanced to the semi-finals as the first team after defeating Singapore U19 national team 3-1 in the AFF U19 Championship 2022 Group stage Group B at Madya Stadium, Jakarta.
They can dominate the match and bend Singapore with a score of 3-1. The Laos goals were scored by Phoutthavong Sangvilay in the 6th minute, Sisouphonh Ackhavong in the 45th minute.
After Laos increased the advantage to 3-0, Singapore was then able to reduce the score to 1-3 at the end of the match. Singapore’s goal was created by Khairin Nadim who fired a shot from inside the penalty box.
The addition of these three points makes Laos have collected nine points and is certain to qualify for the semifinals of the 2022 AFF U-19 Cup, although there is still one game left. The collection of nine points has locked the top two positions for Laos.
Before winning against Singapore, Laos could silence Timor Leste with a score of 2-0 and bend Cambodia with a score of 2-1.
Another match that will take place in Group B today is Malaysia vs Timor Leste. If Malaysia wins, they will follow Laos to make sure they qualify for the semifinals.
However, if Timor Leste wins the match, the contest for semifinal tickets between Timor Leste, Malaysia and Cambodia will continue to the final party.
