Norizam Tukiman or “Zamsaham” president of Kelantan FC club in Liga Super Malaysia praise to Malaysian Football League(MFL) after effort to hold daytimes matches in season 2023.
According to the MFL announcement a few days ago, the afternoon match in Peninsular Malaysia will be held at 5.15 or 5.30 pm. As for the matches in Sabah and Sarawak, the matches are held around 4.30 or 4.45 pm.
For Kelantan, performing in the evening is not a new thing for them. because last season in Liga Premier Malaysia they played in the afternoon time at 5.00 pm. at Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium, Kota Bharu their home due to the stadium has under construction lighting.
“For me, playing this evening can help female fans to come to the stadium,” Zamsaham said in Kelantan-pitchIN collaboration.
“Because if all the matches end at 11.00 pm. or 12.00 am., I think the female fans who want to come might be afraid because there are problems that might happen.”
“You know, it’s night, right? So, if it’s evening (the match), maybe he will be able to avoid the negative elements. Because if it is done in the evening, he can bring the children, even the little ones,”
“For me, when young people are encouraged to come to the stadium, it actually has an impact five years, 10 years, 20 years from now. It will seep into the subconscious (subconscious mind) for them to be interested in what their father was interested in when they were young.”
“So, I think for the development of the football industry, if we do matches during the day, God willing for another 20 years, they will grow up and be interested in football as well.”
“So, why don’t we try to perform in the evening? In my opinion, MFL has done an in-depth study for each and every planned time,”
